Poster Analysis 3 - "Manchester by the Sea"

Now I am going to analyse "Manchester by the Sea" which is different to the previous two film posters that have looked at, as it is an independent melodrama.

This film poster shares many of the same conventions, again despite the fact that it belongs to a different genre and is independent rather than mainstream. It also has some conventions which the other two posters didn't have, which include quotes from reviews, reference to awards, social media links for facebook and twitter, and a certificate.
