What have you learned from your audience feedback?
Throughout my research and planning I have consulted my audience by doing a questionnaire, asking my audiences what conventions they expect to find in posters, magazine covers and teaser trailers for Noir films.
I have conducted a post production questionnaire for my poster, magazine cover and teaser trailer to see if the audience think they look authentic and appropriately represent the genre.
1. Can you tell what genre the film belongs to?
If so how?
2. Does the poster look authentic?
If so how?
3. Does this poster make you want too see the film?
If so why?
Magazine cover post production questionnaire?
1. Can you tell this is a cover for an independent, genre specific magazine?
If so how?
2. Can you tell this magazine is a Noir film magazine?
If so why?
3. Comparing this to existing film magazines, does this magazine cover look authentic?
If so how?
4. Do you think this magazine would catch you eye?
If so why?
5. Would you buy this magazine?
If so why?
If not why?
Teaser trailer post production questionnaire:
1. Can you tell what genre the film belongs to?
If so why?
2. Do the sound and images work in conjunction with each other?
3. Do you think the teaser trailer in authentic in comparison to existing teaser trailers?
4. Does this teaser trailer encourage you to see the film?
If so why?
If not why?
For my final question I asked the audience if they thought the different media productions worked together and made it clear they belonged to the same marketing campaign for the same film. They conclusively said it is clear to see they are advertising the same film as a result of the small consistencies found in all three products.
